Lawyers are one of the elite professions in this country. They are thought to be experts in the field of law enforcement. Talking about lawyer fees received, lawyers also have a large income. So, it’s not surprising that there are so many great students who open law majors as a condition before becoming a lawyer. What’s a lawyer? A lawyer is a person who has the profession and authority as a law enforcer. His role is equivalent to that of prosecutors, judges, and police. Together with other law enforcers, lawyers are part of the criminal justice system.
Lawyers can offer their services, both inside and outside the legal assembly in the field of law for individuals, institutions, industries, or legal entities to become legal consultants, assist and defend cases, exercise power of attorney, or other encouragement in the realm of law. Lawyers have many and quite heavy positions and responsibilities. The position and responsibilities of a lawyer are:
Overcoming problems or legal issues
Lawyers function in analyzing and elaborating legal cases, elaborating legal rules and their arrangement systematically, namely through systematic analysis and identification of problems. Define, create and practice legal concepts. Elaboration and use of awards, evaluations, classifications, and theories to resolve disputes between parties in (opposite) legal issues.
Responsible for the client
Lawyers who have been contracted by clients (individuals/institutions/bodies) are required to provide legal consultations, represent, accompany, and defend issues from the start of the problem, trial at the court of law, until the end or closure of the problem. The lawyer confirmed that the client got his rights.
Even though the person being assisted is the suspect, the lawyer is always loyal to accompany him. The lawyer is also the bridge or liaison between the client and other lawyers (from disputing parties), or from other parties, such as members of the media.
Structuring/manufacturing of contract agreements
There are lawyers who specialize in drafting and or negotiating for trade contracts or individual or institutional businesses. Not only that, there are also lawyers who handle the preparation of legal documents. For example, inheritance messages, wills, agreements, problem solving through peaceful means/deliberations without a legal assembly, and so on.
Serves to guard the constitution and human rights
Lawyers are also responsible for protecting the current constitution. This includes interpreting or enforcing the rule of law, advocating for human rights, providing information about the legal system or other law-related issues through the media and/or public speeches. Not only that, they also carry out analysis, study, and describe the facts and events that occur.
Criticize or provide legal input
This responsibility includes disputing or opposing resolutions with acceptable interpretations, facts, and others. That way, lawyers are obliged to continue to carry out audits on every legal verdict that comes out of the legislature or from the court of law.
Spread legal knowledge
As people who are considered to have extensive knowledge of law, lawyers also have a responsibility to continue to disseminate legal knowledge. Not only that, lawyers must also continue to study in order to enrich their legal knowledge.
