The constructive-regulation faculty of authorized thought would acknowledge the lawmaker’s command as reliable; questions in regards to the law’s morality or immorality wouldn’t be important. In distinction, the pure-law college of legal thought would refuse to acknowledge the legitimacy of laws that didn’t conform to natural, universal, or divine regulation. If a lawmaker issued a command that was in violation of pure legislation, a citizen could be morally justified in demonstrating civil disobedience.
